Barn Buddies

Adopt A Barn Buddy

The Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton occasionally rescues cats best suited as Barn Buddies: working cats for barns, shops, or warehouses with a heat source. These cats may not thrive as indoor pets, but make great outdoor companions.

The Barn Buddy Program matches these cats with cat-loving property owners who provide safe homes, while the cats help control rodents and deter other strays.

These cats are looking for the proper setup, including a safe place to roam, a cozy spot to curl up, and a caretaker who respects their independence.

They may not want cuddles, but they’ll happily help keep your space mouse-free.
