HOW DID MILO GET HERE?
Milo came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. He is sweet and playful but can be unsure around new people, especially men. He needs a patient, experienced family to help him build trust and confidence.

PERSONALITY:
- Sweet and affectionate with trusted people.
- Food motivated and eager to learn.
- Walks nicely on leash and responds to his name.
- Can react to unfamiliar people and other dogs, especially when surprised or behind barriers.
- May growl, bark, show his teeth, or air snap when uncomfortable.
- Needs slow introductions and respectful handling
- Continues to work on confidence, impulse control, and calm greetings.
- Milo is house-trained!

WHAT TYPE OF HOME?
- Adult-only home with no other pets.
- Experienced dog guardians familiar with fear-based reactivity.
- Fenced yard recommended.
- No condos, high-rises, shared walls, or shared entrances.
- A family who understands dog body language, respects his boundaries, and will help him build confidence at his own pace.

Milo currently takes gabapentin to help him cope with shelter life. A starter supply will be sold to his adopter. He is also taking melatonin to help him settle at night and his ongoing medication and supplement use should be discussed with a veterinarian.
