With a soft sniff, Poncho would like to make his introduction!

Often found curled up on his cat tree and soaking up some much needed beauty sleep (Poncho is very busy), this elegant boy with a big personality could be just the feline companion you've been searching for!

Poncho came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him and he is ready for a cozy, calm, forever home! If your home feels a bit empty, this guy's big presence could solve your problems right away!

Poncho loves to cuddle up on his favourite person's lap or really just be in the middle of the action! He moonlights as a doorman/security guard and must approve of any new people that come by. Once people settle into the home, Poncho is content to survey with is going on. He may prefer to just watch and not be handled, depending on his mood! It will be important that anyone interacting with Poncho pays attention to his body language to watch for signs of overstimulation.

Though he may appear big and tough, Poncho can struggle with change and will need a home that will be patient and gentle with him as he learns his new life! He develops a close connection with the people in his life but will take some time to build trust! He would benefit from lots of extra enrichment, puzzles, and playtime at home to help his mind feel at ease as well.

Poncho is looking for a home with no children and no other pets (cats and dogs) where he can be the focus of attention and live out his life as peacefully as possible.

Poncho does have some sensitivity to foods with yeast in them and will need a home that is cautious when purchasing treats. He is eating a prescription diet called Royal Canin Dental, to help maintain his dental health. Any dietary changes should be discussed with a veterinarian.
