HOW DID SUGAR & SPICE GET HERE?
A little Sugar, a little Spice, and twice the love! These bonded little ladies came to us through another organization and are looking for their next chapter together. They will need a patient family who can give them time and space to decompress, build trust, and feel safe.

PERSONALITY:
- Sweet, affectionate, and very bonded to their people.
- Very food motivated and happy to work for treats.
- Interested in toys, but their people are their favourite motivator.
- Spice especially loves climbing into a lap for cuddles.
- Both enjoy their crates, which can provide a comforting safe space.
- Building confidence and may be nervous around new people, particularly men.
- May growl or become vocal when worried or uncomfortable and can become overstimulated.
- Working on polite greetings, confidence around new people, handling, and house training.
- With patience and consistency, these girls have the potential to blossom alongside their people!

WHAT TYPE OF HOME?
- Sugar & Spice must be adopted together.
- A home with no other pets and children 14+.
- A family with general dog experience and experience managing fear-based reactivity and vocal dogs.
- A home without shared walls is recommended, as both girls can be vocal.

Spice is currently taking a medication called gabapentin to help with shelter stress and though she may not need this medication long term once settled into a home, a starter supply will be sold to her adopter to help support her transition into her forever home.

Sugar & Spice are both eating Royal Canin wet food and starter supply of their food will be sold to you at the time of adoption.
