HOW DID CHLOE GET HERE?

Chloe was transferred to us from another organization and is looking for a calm, quiet, forever home!

PERSONALITY:
- A calm and quiet lady!
- Food Motivated
- Can be quite fearful of new people and will need some time to warm up
- A good traveler in the car
- Is new to walking on a leash - working on this!
- Warms up to new people well with slow, proper introductions
- Not yet housetrained but is pee-pad trained!
- Prefers not to be picked up or overhandled
- Likes stuffies, balls, and her playful side is starting to emerge!
- Has some foundational crate training
- She is generally fearful and is learning to trust the world. Will need to work on building up her confidence in new situations

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS CHLOE LOOKING FOR?
- A home where everyone is at least 16 years of age. Could go to a home where everyone is 14+ if the children have direct experience living with fearful/anxious dogs and know their body language
- A home that has primary experience with fearful or shutdown dogs
- Would do well living with small dogs with similar personalities as they help with her confidence!
- Could live in a home with cats, provided the proper, slow introduction is done
- Prefers a home with a fenced yard so she can have easy, comfortable access outdoors
- A home excited to continue her training and to help her come out of her shell!

Chloe is taking medications called Gabapentin and Clomicalm to help with her anxiety. Any changes to her medication should be made in consultation with a Veterinarian. She is also taking Melatonin to help her get a restful sleep and an Omega supplement to support her skin and coat health. A starter supply of these will be sold to Chole's adopter at the time of her adoption.
