HOW DID PATCH GET HERE?
Patch came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him. While not much is known about his past, he's a young dog still figuring out the world around him. He's looking for a committed home that will help him build confidence and guide him with consistent training.

PERSONALITY:
- A friendly, playful guy who's always ready to bring the fun!
- A total foodie - will do just about anything for beef liver or rollover treats
- Toy lover through and through: stuffies, balls, Kongs... you name it!
- Gets a little mouthy and bouncy when he's feeling unsure (his way of saying "I'm overwhelmed!")
- Still building confidence and may bark at new people or unfamiliar things
- Shows appeasing behaviours when he's unsure and trying his best
- A bit sensitive to handling, especially around his collar - he'll need gentle, positive guidance
- Has shown some mild food guarding, working on this!
- Still working on housetraining and will need support and consistency in his new home

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS PATCH LOOKING FOR?
- A home with experienced adopters, with knowledge of guardian/herding/a similar breed
- A home where everyone is 14+ (or slightly younger with experienced, dog-savvy families able to manage behaviours)
- A town house or detached home (no apartments/condos)
- Best suited as the only dog to focus on his confidence and behaviour development
- No cats, due to high prey drive
- A structured environment with clear boundaries and patience
- A home committed to ongoing training (private classes required)
