HOW DID KERMIT GET HERE?
Kermit arrived at the shelter as a stray. He was briefly adopted then returned and is now looking for a patient, experienced home, committed to helping him continue building his skills and confidence.

PERSONALITY:
- A goofy, friendly boy with a big personality!
- Very smart and easy to engage with
- A big fan of the outdoors and is quite active
- Great for walks and very responsive to his handler
- Loves stuffed toys, frozen Kongs, enrichment activities, and high-value treats
- Can be very vocal when he wants something
- High energy and can have difficulty settling without proper enrichment and structure
- Can be a door dasher and escape artist, he'll keep you on your toes!
- Loves attention and being around his people
- May steal items, counter surf, or chew things when bored or overstimulated
- Food motivated and eager to learn
- May be a little nervous around vehicles while on walks
- May have some foundational housetraining but will need continued support in his forever home

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS KERMIT LOOKING FOR?
- A home where everyone is 12+
- A detached or fully separate dwelling preferred (no condos, shared entries, or shared walls)
- A fenced yard is required to safely get his zoomies out!
- A home with multiple layers of management in place (baby gates, double doors, etc.)
- Could do well with a tolerant, playful dog
- Could likely live with a dog-savvy cat following slow introductions with light management
- A home experienced with Husky/Samoyed-type dogs is preferred
- A home excited to continue his training
- Someone able to provide lots of enrichment, exercise, and structure to help him thrive
