HOW DID MERLIN GET HERE?
Merlin came to us through another organization and is now ready to find his forever home!

PERSONALITY:
- Food motivated - likes rollover, beef liver, Kongs, dental chews, and just about any tasty treat!
- Bonds quickly and deeply with his people!
- Has shown a preference for women but is learning that men can be safe too (slow introductions are key!)
- Loves attention, pets, and snuggles!
- Smart and picking up training quickly at the shelter
- Playful and enjoys fetch
- Happy to play independently with balls and stuffies
- Merlin is an active boy who loves walks and exploring
- Can be excitable - sometimes jumping up, mouthing, or catching the zoomies - especially if he's feeling frustrated or overstimulated......working on this!
- May have some foundational housetraining from his previous home

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS MERLIN LOOKING FOR?
- Adult-only, experienced home
- Access to a secure, enclosed yard
- Guardians comfortable working with fearful or sensitive dogs
- Detached home (no apartments or condos) with a private entrance
- May be able to live with a well-matched dog
- If you apply to adopt Merlin and have a cat, we would cat test him
- A home excited to continue training!

All applications submitted for Merlin will be reviewed and the best matched applicant will be selected. It is extremely important for interested adopters to complete the application in its entirety as decisions will be based on the applications alone.
