Simba came into our care when his previous owner could no longer care for him, he is now ready to find a cozy, loving forever home where he can truly settle in and be spoiled like he deserves.

PERSONALITY:
- A gentle, easygoing older boy with a calm and charming presence
- Friendly and social, though he can be a little aloof when he's busy taking in all the interesting sights and smells around him
- When he's engaged, he becomes delightfully wiggly, snorty, and full of personality!
- Can become a little mouthy when overexcited or overstimulated, working on this!
- Enjoys leisurely "sniffy" walks where he can explore at his own pace
- Food-motivated
- Not overly interested in toys, happiest spending time with his people
- Polite and well-mannered on leash
- Knows "sit," especially when given a visual cue
- May have some hearing impairment, responds best to visual cues and gentle guidance
- Simba is House trained!

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS SIMBA LOOKING FOR?
- Suitable for first-time or experienced owners who are comfortable supporting his medical and grooming needs
- A calm environment where his slower pace and relaxed lifestyle are appreciated
- Could live in a condo or apartment, ideally with elevator access or minimal stairs as he ages
- Children may be considered in a dog-savvy home where his need for space and respect is understood
- May do well with another calm, respectful dog, but would prefer to avoid very energetic or playful young dogs
- Simba has not been tested with cats, he is likely neutral to them but if you have a cat and apply, we will make sure!

Simba is eating a prescription diet called Royal Canin Satiety to help with weight loss. Any dietary changes should be discussed with a veterinarian. A starter supply of his food will be provided at no added cost upon adoption.
