Team Building With Heart

Bring your team together while making a lasting impact for pets and families in our community. Corporate volunteering at Humane Society Oakville, Milton & Halton supports our Pet Food Bank, which has provided over 400,000 meals since 2021, by preparing food for distribution to pets in need. Your day includes hands-on teamwork, a tour of our shelter, and the reward of knowing your efforts help keep pets with the families who love them.

The Experience

HSOMH offers a three-hour experience that benefits our Pet Food Bank. Groups meet at our animal centre and will:

Receive an overview of HSOMH and our Pet Food Bank Program
Package food for the food bank, and/or support other activities such as making pet enrichment toys
Tour the HSOMH facility
Take a photo opportunity to show the great work that has been completed
We also offer offsite options for your group to pick-up supplies and package food at your own site

The Details

Ready to plan your corporate volunteer day? Here’s what you need to know!

Our opportunities take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 1-4pm
Supply pick-up for offsite experiences can be flexible based on availability
From May to September we can accommodate up to 12 team members outdoors with rain contingency. From September to June we can also accommodate indoor options for a maximum of 8 people
You’ll see lots of adorable animals throughout our centre tour, and animal interactions may be possible depending on availability

The Cost

HSOMH relies entirely on donations to fund our charitable programs and services. We kindly ask corporate volunteer groups for a minimum donation of $1,000 to cover the costs associated with organizing a team experience and in support of our mission
