Our kids and teen programs give young animal enthusiasts a chance to learn, connect, and have fun. Through hands-on activities, animal meet-and-greets, and lessons in kindness and care, participants gain knowledge, build empathy, and discover how they can make a difference for pets and people in their community.
Ages 6–12
Eight weeks of animal-themed lessons, games, crafts, and guest speakers — all centered on the power of kindness. Participants meet a new animal each week and follow the journey of a “kennel pal” in our care.
Ages 13–16
An eight-week blend of learning, advocacy, and volunteering. Teens get behind-the-scenes insight into shelter life, help with enrichment activities, and can earn community service hours along the way.
