General Information

We’re excited to offer eight weeks of summer camp for children ages 6–12. Each week features a different animal theme and is tailored to a specific age group: three weeks for ages 6–8, and five weeks for ages 9–12.

Our camp is small and welcoming, with space for just 12 campers each week. Throughout the summer, kids will enjoy hands-on time with shelter animals, outdoor play, crafts, and visits from inspiring guest speakers.

Animal Interaction: While we can’t predict which animals will be at HSOMH during camp, campers will spend time with cats, dogs, small animals, and reptiles. They’ll also have the chance to help care for animals in our education room, including rabbits and reptiles.

Games & Crafts: Campers will spend plenty of time outdoors both on the HSOMH site and the park next door (weather permitting), and will also enjoy indoor games and lots of animal-themed crafts every day!

Education: Each day, campers will learn something new about the animals we care for. We also host a variety of exciting guest speakers throughout the week.
