Profile:

*Maxine is a no-fee palliative adoption. We have discovered some lumps on her abdomen and due to age-related concerns, we are unable to explore them further. She is currently completely stable and comfortable, but due to her age and uncertain medical future, she is being made available as a no-fee palliative adoption. Maxine does not currently need any further medical care, however, we are unsure of how many golden years she may have ahead of her. She is a sweet cat who loves to be around her people and has a great quality of life. Our goal is to find Maxine a loving home that can continue to provide her with the care and attention she needs.*

Have you been looking for an affectionate, sweet, nap-loving companion? Maxine may be just the cat to fit the bill! She may have a bit of a grumpy look, but once she knows that you're a lap to sleep on or a friend to eat her meals with, she'll be inseparable from you! Senior life can be lonely so Maxine prefers people who are home most of the time so she can have a close companion! She can be a bit vocal when she hears someone but cannot get to them.

Maxine came to us when her previous owners could no longer care for her but she is looking for a forever family whom she can form a close bond with. She has been known to curl up on her people's chest or lap and nap the day away! She can sometimes decide that she's had a little *too* much attention and may then choose to snooze beside or nearby you to get a bit of "alone" time!

Maxine has a big personality and has decided that there's only enough room for one feline in her forever home! The presence of other cats has been known to cause Maxine stress while in the shelter so she will need to go to a home with no other cats. As she is a lady who loves her peace and quiet, she would also prefer a home with no young children.

Maxine is quite a picky eater and we have found that her favourite food is Purina Feline Indoor Adult canned food in only the Salmon Chunks flavour! For this reason, a case of food will be sold to her new family at the time of her adoption.

If you think you can provide the purrfect, cozy, quiet home for this sweet senior to live out her golden years in, apply for Maxine today!
